We enjoyed hearing owls and wood peckers while sitting on the front porch and being greeted by deer when we drove in and every time we returned to the cabin.  Thank you for the beautiful cabin.  It is clean, cozy, romantic and perfect for two.  We loved the Couple Retreat Cabin so much last year that we had to return.  We'll be back again!,

We had a great time.  Wish it was longer.  Great respite for us from our very busy schedules.  Lots of travel so were able to meet here this weekend.  Now back to the grindstone.  We visited wineries, hiked and saw waterfalls at Jackson Falls and Burden Falls.

We have been coming to Cabin on the Hill for 8 or 9 years and just love it here! We were sorry to hear of Joe's passing.  On our first visit to Cabin on the Hill Joe and Tater came to visit several times.  Most of our visits have been in Cabin 2 but we have also been in Cabin 1.  This is our first visit to the Couple Retreat Cabin.  The deer seem to get closer to the cabin here.  During the snow fall late yesterday afternoon we saw nine deer walking through the trees while we were in the hot tub.  It was a beautiful scene.  Even though we don't plan on getting out until tomorrow we do appreciate you getting the roads plowed and our sidewalk shoveled.  We love it here! We will be looking forward to our next visit.

We love coming to our little romantic place.  It's so relaxing and cozy.  We really recommend it to friends and family.  There is so much to do or not do here, whatever your heart desires.  Thank you for your hospitality and our perfect weekend get away spot.  We always feel so refreshed and reconnected when we leave.  Also, a little fun fact.  Justin took some video while we were in the pavilion with the wood burning stove down by the barn. It was around 4:00 pm and there were deer all over.  He shared it on FaceBook and Southern Illinois Tourism liked/shared it and tons of views within an hour.  Cool to see how and why its no secret what a great place this is.  Hope to be back soon!!  And to all you future guests reading this, always remember love never fails..... never remember the things worth forgetting and never forget the things worth remembering - kind of like all memories at Cabin on the Hill.

This was our 2nd visit to Cabin on the Hill staying in this cabin and we're so happy to be back!!Ironically when we walked in I saw all the old guest books by the fireplace.  I opened the first book right to our page from the first visit.  When we came here the first time it was the first stop in our honeymoon.  It was really great to read the experiences from then and to relive those special memories we had here.  It brought us closer together and helped remind us why we love each other so much!  Jill you have a fantastic place here, a little slice of heaven.  We appreciate your hospitality!  I hope whoever reads this will enjoy their stay and remember why you love your person.  Take the time to reconnect with each other and disconnect from the world.
