We just stayed in the Red Barn and it was so neat.  First of all it was the cleanest place I've ever stayed and there was no much cool stuff in it.  We loved just sitting there and looking at all the antiques and neat stuff hanging on the walls.  The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed and more.  My husband really enjoyed sitting on the back patio and watching the deer.  One morning we saw seven baby deer, three bucks and a bunch of does.  It was amazing.  The owners told us that when they feed their peacocks in the morning the deer all come around and eat with them.   The Red Barn is near  their hobby farm so you really get a close up view of the turkeys, chickens and peacocks.   This is the coolest and best place we have ever stayed and we will be telling all of our friends about Cabin on the Hill.  Thank you Danny and Jill for sharing your great place!!  Can't wait to come back.

I would totally recommend this place.  Loved that the cabins were spread out which gave privacy.  Very peaceful.  All the comforts of home, much more inviting than a hotel room.  Sipping coffee of the front porch and watching the deer was a highlight.  My husband and I truly loved it.  My only complaint is that we didn't book an extra night!  Two nights was not enough, but gives us a reason to return.

Beautiful cabin.  Thank you for allowing us to bring our little dog as he has anxiety when we leave him w/ a boarder.  This was our first time in the area and we plan on coming back in the future and will highly recommend Cabin on the Hill.

I came here to get away, to reflect and renew and grieve the loss of our oldest son on July 25, 2014.
I watched the sunset and the hummingbirds feed and the deer cross through the field.  I sat with Hope and remembered all the good times.  Jared went to school at SIU and we had stayed here then.
